Alicante (16/12/23). The Biobank of the Alicante Institute for Health and Biomedical Research (ISABIAL) participated during 2023 in an intercomparison exercise with nucleic acid samples conducted at the National DNA Bank
Specifically, the ISABIAL Biobank took part in DNA extraction exercises from whole blood and in determining concentration and purity using spectrophotometry. The results of the exercises were satisfactory in both cases
This result reinforces the Biobank’s commitment to ensuring the quality of biological material and the continuous improvement of all its processes, strengthening the confidence of both the institutions that process nucleic acid samples and the research staff who request them
In addition to the ISABIAL Biobank, three other biobanks integrated into the Valencian Biobank Network, two IVO biobanks, INCLIVA and CIBERER, also obtained satisfactory results
