Instructions for the affiliation and removal of research staff

The form to request the creation or dissolution of research groups will be available throughout the year, providing flexibility to interested applicants. However, requests will be evaluated according to the submission date, understood as the complete delivery of the minimum required documentation for each member (in the case of creation). The evaluation cut‑off dates are:

  • Until April 30
  • Until october 30

There are two pathways for the affiliation of research personnel to existing ISABIAL research groups:

1. Affiliation of early‑stage researchers. Within this category, there are two options:

  • Research personnel undergoing Specialized Health Training (FSE).
  • Predoctoral research personnel (enrolled in a doctoral program).

2. Individual affiliation of research personnel; to be completed by any person interested in joining ISABIAL who holds a doctoral degree and/or is not enrolled in any of the training programs mentioned in the previous section.

The documentation required in each case and the procedure to submit it are explained below.

Incorporation of researchers into existing groups: Incorporation of early‑stage research personnel
Affiliation of research personnel undergoing Specialized Health Training (FSE)

The resident researcher (FSE) may request their affiliation regardless of the year of training they are currently completing. They must meet at least one of the following requirements to apply for affiliation:

1 Be the author of a publication in a journal indexed in JCR.
2 Be the main author (first or second) of a communication at a national or international conference, or be an author in at least two conference communications.
3 Have completed or be currently completing a Master’s degree.
4 Be enrolled in a Doctoral Program.
5 Be a researcher in a competitively funded research project.

If the applicant meets the requirements mentioned above, they must complete the form and submit two mandatory documents, which are uploaded directly through the form. These documents are:
Their updated CVN/CVA, and the authorization signed by their supervisor, the head of the department/service, and the research group leader.

2 Have collaborated as part of the research team in at least one clinical study conducted within the three years prior to the application date.

If the above requirements are met, the applicant must complete the affiliation form and upload, through the same form, their updated CVN/CVA and the corresponding approval.
