The main objective of this project is the research and development of T2KNOW, an advanced text‑analysis platform based on Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies, designed to extract and represent semantic profiles of digital entities and to identify research trends through the analysis of scientific and technical documents.
Building on this general objective, the project sets out the following specific objectives:
- Design and develop a flexible, scalable and robust technological architecture for the management and processing of large volumes of unstructured data (text), providing the essential foundation for advanced analytical capabilities.
- Research and develop advanced text‑analysis algorithms, using NLP techniques, to enable knowledge extraction and semantic exploration of content for the detection of research trends..
- Develop data‑visualisation technologies to uncover and graphically represent the evolution of research lines, emerging topics and emerging technologies, enabling the identification of trends in scientific research.
- The project aims to design and implement a pilot test to validate the technologies developed in a key domain such as healthcare, and subsequently extend their validation to other sectors, including the industrial (plastics) and ICT sectors. This will be achieved through the creation of sector‑specific corpora of scientific publications, enabling robust evaluation and cross‑sector applicability of the developed solutions.
