The Clinical Analysis and Genetics clinical research support platform at ISABIAL performs complementary tests that provide access to biological samples useful for confirming or ruling out a diagnosis, detecting abnormalities, and obtaining information necessary to apply a specific treatment.

Since 2011, the Clinical Analysis and Genetics Unit has operated under a quality management system (QMS) certified according to the ISO 9001:2015 standard.

  • Methodological guidance and test interpretation by a specialist in Clinical Analysis and Molecular Biology.
  • Techniques for measuring basic biochemical parameters in serum, urine, and stool, as well as complete blood counts.
  • Chemiluminescent immunoassay techniques for the measurement of hormones, tumor markers, and other proteins.
  • Immunological techniques with fluorescent labeling for the measurement of autoantibodies (indirect immunofluorescence).
  • Study of different allergens.
  • Capillary protein electrophoresis.
  • Study of copy number variations in peripheral blood using aCGH array technology applied to Molecular Biology.
  • Nucleic acid extraction.
  • Karyotype in Peripheral Blood (analysis of both numerical and structural chromosomal abnormalities)..
  • Real-time PCR and/or quantification of specific DNA fragments.
  • Molecular study of Fragile X syndrome using real-time PCR.
