Description
The ISABIAL Biobank is a platform whose purpose is to support scientific research by facilitating translational research and promoting collaboration among different clinical researchers. It enables us to maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the research landscape and its ethical and legal framework.
The ISABIAL Biobank is a central structure supporting biomedical and scientific research, facilitating the translation of research findings and promoting collaboration among research groups. Its consolidation has been made possible thanks to the commitment of the professionals at the Dr. Balmis University General Hospital to biomedical research, as well as the support of the institution’s management. The ISABIAL Biobank is part of the Valencian Biobank Network (RVB) and is an affiliated biobank of the ISCIII Platform for Biomodels and Biobanks.
The Biobank was authorized on June 7, 2013, by the Directorate‑General for Planning, Evaluation, Research, Quality, and Patient Care of the Department of Health of the Valencian Community, and was registered in the National Biobank Registry (B.0000834). Since 2016, the Biobank has operated under a quality management system (QMS) certified according to the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
