Sanidad puts out to tender the drafting of the project for the construction of the ISABIAL research building in Alicante
The new building, located at the Dr. Balmis General Hospital, will involve an investment of more than 5 million euros
The building will have a floor area of 3,851 square meters, fully dedicated to health and biomedical research
Alicante (15.05.19) The Department of Universal Health and Public Health has put out to tender the drafting of the project and the construction management for the new building of the Valencian Community Foundation for the Management of the Alicante Institute for Health and Biomedical Research (ISABIAL).
The file represents an investment of 444,154 euros, with the ultimate goal of constructing a new building, located at the Alicante General University Hospital, dedicated to health and biomedical research
The building, with a construction value of 5,147,000 euros, will have a total area of 3,851 square meters. The project will include a significant expansion of the current Research Support Laboratory, which will in turn integrate the existing structures of the Biobank, the Biomedical Research Networking Center (CIBER), and the Freezer Room.
Workspaces will also be created for the Research Support Area, the Phase I Clinical Trials Unit, the Teaching Area (equipped with an auditorium, a simulation area, and various classrooms), and the Management Area.
The building will also include a multipurpose area to support research, with spaces intended for future developments such as researcher hot‑desks, coworking areas, and acceleration spaces for health‑related start‑up companies, among others. The construction period is 24 months.
