The Alicante Institute for Health and Biomedical Research (ISABIAL) is organising the third edition of the ‘Open Science – OPEN DAYS’ on 27 September at the Alicante Provincial Council Auditorium (ADDA). The aim of the event is to bring science closer to society, encouraging public engagement and promoting scientific education among young people.
A free event designed to promote the exchange of knowledge in the healthcare field, bringing together healthcare professionals, biomedical and health researchers, educational centres, patient organisations, and the general public.
In this edition, the event has been designed in a dynamic format, featuring several activities taking place simultaneously across four different spaces at the ADDA: the Conference Hall, the Chamber Hall, the Main Hall, and the Glass Room.
The main activities include workshops led by ISABIAL’s research support platforms and units to promote scientific education; keynote lectures by health experts; talks by science communicators; an escape room; health‑education sessions; and exhibitions.
In addition, as a new feature in this edition, the ‘Meet the Researchers’ sessions will adopt a more focused, small‑group format. Representatives from the associations will meet with the researcher of their choice from the group to address questions and generate synergies. This initiative aims to foster dialogue, collaboration, and the involvement of society as a whole in clinical research at all stages, ensuring that ISABIAL’s research projects align with the real healthcare needs of the population of Alicante.
