Grants Aimed at Promoting and Encouraging the Integration of a Gender Perspective in Biomedical Research

This initiative aims to advance towards more equitable and higher‑quality health research, aligned with the principles of excellence, inclusion, and responsible innovation. Its specific purpose is to strengthen the knowledge and skills of research personnel so they can rigorously incorporate the analysis of sex (biological) and gender (social) differences into their studies. In doing so, it seeks to contribute to a more inclusive, accurate, and socially relevant science that promotes more efficient, fair, and sustainable professional practices. The maximum amount allocated to fund the grants under this programme will be 22,500 euros. Up to 1,500 euros will be awarded for each research idea or hypothesis that includes the analysis of biological sex differences and a gender‑based approach.

Likewise, in order to optimise the full amount of the funding awarded and in accordance with ISABIAL’s foundational purposes, an additional fund will be allocated to strategic actions aligned with the objectives of this call and with ISABIAL’s Strategic Plan.
