The Consell authorizes the signing of an agreement between the research foundations INCLIVA, IIS-La Fe, ISABIAL, Fisabio and the University of Valencia to hold the VII edition of the video contest “De mayor quiero ser…”

This is a video contest aimed at secondary school, high school and vocational training students, with an organizational and management budget of €22,000

Awards will be given to works that identify female role models in scientific, technological and innovative disciplines

Alicante (05/12/23). The Consell has authorized the signing of a collaboration agreement between the Foundation for the Promotion of Health and Biomedical Research of the Valencian Community (Fisabio), the Health Research Institute of Clínico Hospital of Valencia (INCLIVA), the La Fe Health Research Institute (IIS-La Fe), the Alicante Institute for Health and Biomedical Research (ISABIAL), and the University of Valencia for the organization and celebration of the seventh edition of the video contest “De mayor quiero ser…”

El importe global al que se comprometen las entidades participantes para efectuar la organización y gestión del concurso es de 22.000 euros, con la distribución para cada parte de 4.400 euros.

The contest is aimed at students in Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO), Bachillerato (high school), and Vocational Training in the Valencian Community

The aim is to promote and reward videos created by young students that identify female role models in scientific, technological, and innovative fields, as well as to highlight the impact that discriminatory attitudes have had on the professional development of these women

The agreement is part of the objective of strengthening joint activities for the dissemination, communication, and promotion of research, development, and innovation.

In this specific case, the Regional Ministry of Health is promoting this initiative to encourage scientific vocations, with a special focus on highlighting female talent in this sector. In fact, this initiative is linked to the celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.

The competition consists of eight awards across four different categories, with two subcategories in each. The categories recognize best script, best production, the most innovative video in the choice of subject, and the best video as voted by the public.
