Alicante (17/12/23). The 7th edition of the video contest “De mayor quiero ser como…” begins. This year, the competition features a greater number of organizers. In addition to the Foundation for the Promotion of Health and Biomedical Research of the Valencian Community (Fisabio) and the University of Valencia, the Clínico Hospital of Valencia Health Research Institute (INCLIVA), the La Fe Health Research Institute (IIS-La Fe) and the Alicante Institute for Health and Biomedical Research (ISABIAL) have joined

The competition, aimed at Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO), high school and vocational training students in the Valencian Community, allows participants to research and identify female role models or groups of women in scientific, technological and innovative disciplines

The aim is to promote and reward videos created by young students that identify female role models and recognize a reality that remains invisible and hinders the professional development of women scientists

The deadline for submitting entries has begun with the publication of the rules on the competition blog (https://blogs.fisabio.san.gva.es/demajorvullsercom/) and will run until January 31, 2024. Participation will be carried out through the EasyPromos platform at the following link: https://pr.easypromosapp.com/register/967823

The video contest “De mayor quiero ser como…” has a total endowment of €16,000 in prizes, which will be distributed across four categories corresponding to best script, best production, most innovative video in the choice of subject, and best video as voted by the public. In addition, the four categories are divided into two groups: one for ESO and Basic Vocational Training, and another for high school and intermediate and higher vocational training
